If for any reason your child has a change in transportation, please send a note to school with them.  Without a note, they will have to follow their regular way of transportation. This is mainly for the safety of your child.

Report Cards
Report Cards are sent home each grading period to keep you informed of your child's progress. This will help you to celebrate your child's accomplishments and will provide you with information on areas that your child may need extra help in. Please sign the report card envelope and return it to school.

Parent Access
Please register here to register for a Parent Access account so you can view information regarding your students attendance, report cards, progress reports, daily grades, and available lunch money.

You may visit www.schoolpaymentsolutions.com to add money to your child's lunch account.

If you need to send medicine to school for your child, you must deliver the medicine in person to the school nurse. No medicines are allowed on the bus or backpacks.

Friday Folders
Every Friday your child will be sent home with a BWE Friday Folder containing important information. It is very important to look through all papers and empty the folder before sending it back to school.  If your child has a grade less than 70, please sign and return that paper so that I know you are aware.

My name is Jenny Hayden and I am so excited to be teaching First Grade this year at Birnham Woods Elementary!  I have taught for fifteen years. In that time I have taught pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade.
My husband and I have been married for twenty-one  years and have three wonderful children. My daughter is twelve and my two boys are fifteen and eighteen.
I grew up in the Spring area and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.  I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Early Childhood. Teaching young children is a passion for me!
Please feel comfortable contacting me with any questions or concerns.  Thank you for sharing your precious child with me this year. I cannot wait to watch them learn and grow!
