What's going on in Math/Science?

Students are continuing to learn about place value.  We will investigate whole numbers, as well as decimals to the hundredths place.  We are also beginning to learn about fractions.

Please practice all basic divisiona and multiplication facts.

In science we are investigating matter.  Students will measure, compare, and contrast physical properties of matter based on size and mass, temperature, volume, magnetism, and bouyancy.

Math homework will go out on Monday and be due on Friday.  In addition, as needed, students will be bringing home assignments that they do not get completed in class to finish at home.

Reading/LA/SS homework will be given by Mrs. Roberts.

**Keep practicing those multiplication facts.  The students know which fact family they are practicing in class and which ones they are struggling to master.  They can practice with flashcards, web sites, and apps to get faster at these facts.

Students may bring home math and science notebooks as needed.  The notebooks can be used to assist with homework and study for tests and assignments.  It is very important that students come to class prepared daily with their notebook.  Please do not keep notebooks at home on school days as we use them in class each day.
