About Me
Class Schedule
Hello, My name is Carrie Lyons and I am very excited to teach third grade at Birnham Woods Elementary.  I have taught first grade for five years and third grade for two years. I have three children; Madysen, Emily and TJ.  Madysen is a sophmore at UT Austin, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and playing saxophone and section leader in UT's "Showband of the South."  Emily is a freshman at Oak Ridge High School and plays volleyball and  select softball.  TJ is a first grader at BWE.   My husband Tim and I have lived in the Spring area over the past 20 years and really love the area.   I was born in southern California and moved to Texas in 1989.  I graduated from McCullough High School (before it was a Jr. High) and received my Bachelors Degree in Early Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University.  Teaching has been a passion of mine for many years and I am so glad I get to share that passion with your child.  During the school year, we will engage in many fun and exciting activities.  I invite parents and grandparents to come into the classroom become part of our learning "Safari."  Together, let's make third grade a very memorable and exciting year.

Best Regards,

Mrs. Lyons
